How to Stay Sane during quarantine.

It's challenging trying to navigate through the stress and uncertainty that comes during these difficult times. Let's remember to check on others to see how they're doing and more importantly check on ourselves. Certain things we took for granted have now become more precious to us. I wanted to give some tips and share what I have been doing to keep myself sane during these social distance times.

find a hobby

With us being confined to our homes now would be the perfect time to find a hobby that is perfect for you.

Everyone has different tastes and preferences so do whatever interests you! Here are some things you can try out during this quarantine.

staying active

Make sure you are getting some fresh air and staying somewhat active. It's important for your mental and physical health. There are a ton of youtube workout plans you can check out to stay fit while the gyms are closed. Or just go for a simple walk by yourself or with your dog if you have one.

I personally love Youtuber Chole Ting videos. She has great plans that are easy to follow and really motivates you to stick to them. Check out her pages below if you need some new motivation for working out.

Baking

I've never been a person who's been into cooking and baking but now would be a great time to learn some new recipes. Banana bread has taken over Instagram and seems to be the number one pastry to try during this quarantine. While the number one drink taking over Instagram is whipped iced coffee. If your not a huge coffee person like me you check out this whipped iced match recipe. I am a HUGE  matcha lover so this was a good supplement for me. Hoop on these two Instagram trends during your quartine time.

MEDITATE

Lay down, or sit on a pillow and take a breath in for five counts, hold for three counts, and release for five counts. Easing our mind and making an active effort to be present with ourselves is one healthy way to relieve stress and isolate our thoughts during these chaotic times.

Finally, stay healthy

Disinfect surfaces frequently, wash your hands, and practice social distancing.
